Stipend & Volunteer Hours

What is the stipend amount and requirement?
With current funding, each registered team is eligible to receive a $2,500 stipend in exchange for 30 volunteer hours (collectively across the team) supporting a local PreK-12 classroom.

How do team volunteer hours work?
Volunteer hours are counted per person. For example, if 3 team members each spend 1 hour volunteering together, the team logs a total of 3 hours, not just 1.

Does the team have to volunteer with one school continually for 30 hours, or can the time be split between multiple schools?
Your volunteer hours can be split between multiple schools. If you plan to volunteer at multiple schools or use more than one type of AWIM challenge, please include all relevant details on your registration form. The system will only allow you to record volunteer hours when they are tied to an approved LearnTwice registration.

If I log more than 30 hours, will my team receive a larger stipend?
No. The stipend amount is fixed at $2,500 per team. Additional hours beyond the required 30 will not increase the stipend.
